a new "castle"....

so we got us a new castle to live in, and I will post some pics soon....
life without internet was yucky! im psyched about a new home that's "OURS"...


but.... it's super hard to unpack with a 6month lil babyboo(yes........SIX MONTHS! YIKEES)


...... and daddys been up in the desert ALOT....so the typical relief of daddy showing up in the evening was nonexistant


....and Charley went 5 days without pooping.(only a parent could truely understand this....and celebrate poopy like i did. she is typically a once-a-day at least kind of girl... I was praising the LORD when I saw she had pooped..i had tried EVERYTHING!!!!!
.....warm baths, the bicycle, tummy massage, warm applejuice and water, karo syrup, rectal thermometer with vaseline, more warm baths, and suppositories, and the bicycle....) and I kept singing "his eye is on the sparrow" to her when she would wake up ALL through the night screeeeeching in pain..... I just kept thinking to myself, heck, if he's taking care of the birds, I know that He is in control of my baby's poopies, right? Needless to say, it was a super rough week...and I dont even really know all the words to his eye is on the sparrow, so she got her own middle of the night versions.....


....and when Aaron did come home on Friday, I was mean to him...sure I was sleepless in San Diego.....but.....I hatehateHATE it when I am mean to him just because I'm exhausted, I am so glad he puts up with me! and I am gonna try ohsomuch harder not to take things out on him when he works so hard and does so much for us. (I'm not TRUELY sorry unless i try my hardest to change, right?....so I'm gonna get better. i really am. )



But I am thankful......

*my baby is back!!!!!! she's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy again and HERSELF!

*I got the cutest little retro cups and a serving tray and rocker i've been eyeing at
NestVintage which Charlotte and I checked out Friday morning. yay for cuteness!

*we browsed a swap meet this morning, Aaron, chacha and I..... fun times. next time i will wear a tank top....whoa farmers tan.

*did I mention that Charlotte is my happy chunky giggly silly rolly polly little lumpylou once again? (relief. sweet relief)

flower fields

We went to the flower fields in Carlsbad; saw they were having a bluegrass festival and thought it would be a fun thing to do on a Saturday afternoon. i heart fun little family outings. I always wondered why parents brought their kids to the things like the zoo when they were too young to remember it......why?........now i know why.and i'm one of those parents. it's fun to do little family things. some day soon we'll tackle the zoo.

i did not even realize I was taking a pic of her in the same pose as me....Aaron found the picture. how cute are the little naked butt cracks? If only fat roles looked this good on me now! hehe.

our entourage

Oh the Beck girls. We just love them. They're kinda like our family away from family. AND.......they live right down the street from us. Sweet beautiful Leanne was the first girl I handed a resume to at the salon I worked at in Poway. I actually thought she was a college girl (turns out she is married with three girls...what a smokin hot mamma). We ended up finding out that we live like TWO blocks apart(and then I found out she likes wine......so then I knew we'd be friends..HELLO wine buddy). we love us some Beck girls!


the other day they came over to meet up and walk to the park. I had Charlie ready and decided to wait outside for them because it was such a nice day. One by one they came into view......4girls, 2dogs, a shopping cart, a stroller, and 2dirty naked babydolls. LOL hillarious. I ran in to grab the camera. it was too funny not to document.

We will miss living so very close to our girls, because we are gonna be closing on a house in Santee either this Friday or next Monday....(blog post to follow)......but Santee isn't too far away!

We'll still see each other...I just love me some Becks.

Giggles McGee

That's Charlotte's new name, 'cause Mommy can make her giggle *almost* on command (and because "McGee" just sounds right with funny first names.... no offense if that's really your last name). There's also some song & dance that Aunt Lindsey did with Charley that works particularly well at uncovering her geeky smile and making her squeak like a mouse. Something about ants.... which would usually be a sore subject around our house (referring to the "great Christmas infestation of 2009"). Stay tuned for that one....

Mommy hasn't posted in a while, and when Daddy heard this going on, he grabbed the camera so you all could enjoy it. So... enjoy!

Calvin the Cow

We were excited to go to the desert with daddy.I knew Charlotte and I might have some issues, because we were battling colds.....SO we loaded up all our stuff(whoa the baggage that comes with traveling with a baby)including our humidifier. I figured I was being a pretty good mommy, bringing the humidifier and all (patting myself on the back). Such a cute little cow humidifier that blows the mist out its ears........and we arrived at our hotel room and turned on the heat and it was so dry that I could feel my lips becoming chapped.....poor little cow, could NOT keep up! (so much for the mommy of the year award) So I went across the street to Target and purchased another humidifier. This time I wasn't messin around and got the heavy duty turbo one. So Calvin the cow(Aaron's name for him) got a new friend to help him get the job done. Charlotte and Mommy sure liked the king sized bed.(maybe we can get one someday)

And yes, we took all of these in one evening, daddy even snapped a picture of Charlotte and I takin a little snooze. I resorted back to the "sleep when the baby sleeps" method while she was sick. She wasn't sleeping nearly as well as usual........I am glad my little sweetie's on the mend.

this was actually her second bout of giggles. Her first was when we were up in the desert last week- she bursted into giggles when I sneezed in the car, and I was SOOO bummed that no one else was with me to experience one of the most fun "firsts" yet!
